The Client’s Requirements

Wetherell

The client wanted to revamp the site to give it more modern and slick look. The Wetherell used and still uses a third-party portal website called Thebu2iness.com (now Easymatch.co.uk) to list their property on a subdomain. Thebu2iness.com provides an online software for listing the properties for letting and selling.

The roadmap was to show the features from the online software directly into the WordPress website, and the idea was to import all properties from the portal to the site daily as a scheduled task. This was to be done by exporting BLM data files from the portal and importing them to WordPress using the data supplied from Rightmove.

In addition to this task, there were some more requirements given like International Properties; a couple of content-rich and dynamic Research and Mayfair Office pages; Downloading PDF files and much more.

Our Solution

Wetherell

The site was already there and was built with WordPress. A couple of primary challenge during the development was to make the site look better as it was already good, and the second task was to import the exported property data to WordPress and show them in a better way than what was there on the third party portal.

Our team took up the challenge and provided new theme templates; changed fonts; colours while keeping the site branding as the brand was ancient and well-known. The developers created a plugin to import the properties and show them on the site better than ever, for this we created a custom WordPress plugin and developed the solution around.

For the other tasks such as International Properties; a couple of content-rich and dynamic Research and Mayfair Office pages, we created new WordPress post types; designed theme templates and new styles for the new pages. We also provided a search widget to find the International Properties creating a custom WordPress plugin.
